ANTONIUS REX Biography

The Antonius Rex mystic-dark band was founded by the eclectic philosopher-composer-guitarist Antonio Bartoccetti and the experimental sound enginneer Doris Norton and is considered by the international critics as "the most authoritative band of the deeper metal dark sound". The band is characterized by the unique parapsychological style of the works, esotheric messages, fight against pollution and against any kind of war. Antonio Bartoccetti also is the founder of the Jacula cult group who released the albums "In Cauda Semper Stat Venenum", "Tardo Pede in Magiam Versus" and "Pre Viam". Among the Antonius Rex' "absolute cult" albums a special mention goes to "Neque Semper Arcum Tendit Rex" , "Praeternatural" and "Magic Ritual" (published by Warner Chappel, 2005). In the 2006 Antonius Rex releases the superb album "Switch on Dark": a composition work prolonged for two years , concepted as an extreme mystyc experience, a path for the next generations. The obscure songs in "Switch on Dark" are six, among wich there are the omonym 'Switch on Dark', the irreal fantastic 'Perpetual Adoration' (also included in the album as video clip), the terrifyc 'Darkotic' and the special 'Fairy Vision'.

"ZORA" (1st and 2nd edition)
With no concept. Some songs taken from TARDO PEDE. Commissioned work from a rich editor and only released for economic reasons. The only involving moments are the piano of NECROMANCER and the acoustic guitar of ZORA.

"ANNO DEMONI"
Concept album produced by the group. Ritualism, mistery, extreme theology, dark feelings. It's the logical evolution Of NEQUE SEMPER with use of electronic fused to the acoustics. Electronic organ, electronic violin, acoustic guitar, acoustic piano, celebrative voices.

"RALEFUN"
It's the concept album that has carried the group to the notoriety and the collectors to search for all the other Antonius Rex albums. Very good the compositions e, but not the executions and very bad the mixage realized in Germany. Better events: INCUBUS and the mini-moog of MAGIC SADNESS.

"PRAETERNATURAL"
The document of 1980, produced by the group. Extreme, synthetic, symbolic messages. Dark, ossessive persistent atmospheres. Unique, rare interpretations played by synths, good designs of guitar . Prophetic messages. A concentrate of elecro-acoustic-progressive, magically natural or, better, praeternatural.

"MAGIC RITUAL"
Only on limited-LP including cult suite "FAIRY VISION (Soundvision Special Edit)".
